This cable is backward compatible, is able to carry a USB 1.0 and a 1.1 signal and is compatible with both PC and Mac. It can support up to 127 devices on a daisy-chain configuration. This is not the standard configuration for a USB cable - ensure the device you are connecting requires a type A male cable; the port should be type A female.
